💡Plunger Types
Standard rubber plunger — Good seal and smooth action for most applications. Rubber-free plunger — Eliminates rubber extractables that could interfere with sensitive analytical methods like LC-MS/MS. Choose rubber-free when sample purity is critical.
🦠Sterile vs. Non-Sterile
Sterile syringes are individually wrapped and gamma-irradiated — required for clinical, biological, and cell culture applications. Non-sterile syringes are suitable for analytical chemistry, filtration, and general lab use where sterility is not a concern.

Syringe FAQ
Use a Luer-Lock syringe sized to your sample volume. A 10mL Luer-Lock syringe is the most common choice for filtering 1–10mL samples through a 13mm or 25mm syringe filter.
Luer-Lock has a threaded collar that screws onto filters and needles, preventing disconnection under pressure. Luer-Slip uses a tapered friction fit that’s faster to connect but can pop off if you push too hard. Always use Luer-Lock for syringe filtration.
