Magnesium forms a colored complex with xylidyl blue under alkaline conditions, producing a stable endpoint signal read at approximately 520 nm on standard chemistry analyzers. The formulation is optimized for linearity and low calcium interference across the measuring range. Liquid-stable reagent packaging allows immediate use without preparation. Supplied with R (60 mL × 2).
