Filtrous is committed to making filtrous.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the site, not a one-time project.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the guidelines referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

  • Reviewed and remediated our storefront theme for colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, form labels, link and button names, heading and list structure, dialog focus handling, reflow at small screen widths, and text-spacing tolerance.
  • Tested every page template (home, collections, product pages, search, cart, account, contact, careers, quality/document lookup, FAQ, blog, 404) on desktop and mobile viewports using automated tooling (axe-core) together with manual keyboard testing.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site are provided by third parties and are not fully under our control. We have reported issues to the vendors and applied our own fixes where possible:

  • Product filtering and search (Boost AI Search & Discovery): we have added keyboard and screen-reader improvements on our side; the vendor's own interface may still change.
  • Shop Pay / accelerated checkout buttons and checkout (hosted by Shopify): we cannot modify these; Shopify maintains them. If checkout is difficult to use, call us and we will take your order by phone.
  • Cookie-consent banner and chat widget: provided by third-party services.
  • Some older documents (PDF certificates of analysis and data sheets) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide the information in an accessible format on request.

We re-test the site when we change the storefront or when our service providers update their components, and we update this statement when our status changes.
