      Description

The ampPCR Combo (FluA, FluB, COVID) qPCR Detection Panel is a real-time RT-PCR multiplexed test intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A virus, and/or influenza B virus nucleic acid in upper or lower respiratory samples (such as nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal and nasal swabs, sputum, lower respiratory tract aspirates, bronchoalveolar lavage, and nasopharyngeal wash/aspirate or nasal aspirate) collected from individuals suspected of respiratory viral infection consistent with COVID-19 by a healthcare provider1. Symptoms of respiratory viral infection due to SARS-CoV-2 and influenza can be similar. Test results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information.

      Targets:

      • RNA of influenza A virus
      • RNA of influenza B virus
      • SARS-CoV-2 virus,

Multi-Detection: Targets FluA, FluB, and COVID in one test.

High Efficiency: Utilizes the high sensitivity of qPCR technology.

Large-Scale Testing: Comes with enough material for 100 reactions.

Struggling to keep up with the swirling vortex of viral threats? Have no fear, the COVID/Flu Combo Kit is here. This isn't your average run-of-the-mill test kit—it's a tri-pronged attack against FluA, FluB, and the infamous COVID. Like a Swiss Army knife of the virology world, it provides the power of multi-detection, making it easier for you to cover more ground with less hassle.

And it doesn't just stop at the versatility. This combo kit makes use of the high sensitivity of qPCR technology, a star player in the world of molecular testing. It's like having the eyes of an eagle, spotting minute quantities of viral RNA and translating them into quantifiable results.

The cherry on top? This is not a one-and-done kind of deal. With enough material for 100 reactions, you'll be well-equipped for large-scale testing. Whether you're running a diagnostic lab, a research institute, or conducting a field study, this kit packs enough punch to handle your workload.

Think of the COVID/Flu Combo Kit as your secret weapon against the viral foes of our time. It's efficient, reliable, and downright essential. Arm yourself with it, and you'll have the power to make a significant difference in this battle against viruses. Because when it comes to detection, two (or rather, three) is indeed better than one.

      Frequently Asked Questions

How many reactions are in the kit?

What is the shelf life of the kit?

The kit is valid for 12 months after the manufactured date or until the expiration date and should be stored in a -20°C storage.

How many controls should I run on a plate for my clinical samples?

We recommend running at least 2 sets of positive and negative controls in case one set fails (a set refers to running a positive and negative for ALL oligo mixes).

How many patient samples can I do in a single run?

96 Well Plate: 92 Patient Samples (assuming you are running 2 sets of positive and negative controls)
384 Well Plate: 380 Patient Samples (assuming you are running 2 sets of positive and negative controls and filling all the plate wells)

What is the estimated run time of the method with this kit?

The method is estimated to be about ~70 minutes. Some thermal cyclers will vary in the duration of the method.

What is the LOD for this kit?

This kit has a sensitivity as low as 1 cp/uL, but will vary depending on your thermal cycler.

What dyes should my thermal cycler be calibrated for?

      FAM, JOE, ROX, Cy5

What is the stability of the prepared PCR plate? Am I able to store it in a freezer after making the reaction?

It is best to prepare your plate and reagents as needed and not to let it sit at room temperature for extended periods of time. You should avoid storing the PCR reaction if possible; if it is needed, store the PCR reaction at -20°C for up to 30 minutes.

What are quantities of control and PCR mix?

      Positive control: 100uL
      Negative Control: 100uL
      RT PCR Enzyme Mix: 110uL
      PCR Mix: 1.5mL
